HOW TO BURN FRANKINCENCE . . .
~ You will need a small heat safe vessel, ceramic or metal etc. but not wood.
~ You will need non-toxic charcoal made especially for burning incense, (NOT BARBEQUE BRICKETS)
~ Place some sand in the vessel. (add to bottom of container to prevent over-heating)
~ Carefully light the edges of the charcoal, then place it on top of the sand in the vessel with the indention up.
~ Wait a few minutes until the sparks completely reaches the opposite side and the coal starts to ash over.

Ethiopian Monasteries Fundraising History:
Almost all monasteries in Ethiopia trade with the local people, and every week on market-day a group of monks go to the nearest town carrying produce and other goods from the monastery lands. In exchange they buy soap and candles and any other supplies they may need such as building materials etc.
In our case, here in "Ameri-cato" (the big market) we are trying to make some spiritual items available to you, the Faithful.
Such as the Prayer Candles and Frankincense etc. ~ Every item is natural and hand made ~
You will notice that the prices are low for these authentic items, this is because we are not in the business of selling for profit, but only to establish and sustain the monastic ways.
